The Curriculum in the junior school at Westall Secondary College offers students the opportunity to study a broad range of subject areas, including Core subjects, semester based subjects and an iCreate subject.
The Core subjects that are studied in Years 7 and 8 include English, Mathematics, Science, Global Literacy, Chinese, Health and Physical Education. We also have a range of semester-based subjects, including: Food Technology, Wood Technology, Digital Technology, Music, Dance, Drama, Visual Communication and Design and Art.
Studying a breadth of subjects in years 7 and 8 enables students to explore and discover their passions and strengths, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their pathway through secondary schooling and beyond.
The junior sub-school at Westall Secondary College also has a range of extra-curricular opportunities, including a Junior School Camp each year, an array of excursions and incursions, Leadership Opportunities with our Junior School Captains and SRC and a Peer Support Program.
